Sweets are around in every happy time. In Odisha every village has a popular sweet shop that cater to the local population and the shop is somewhat interwoven around that society and its culture.
Our Story
Sweet making is one of the oldest recorded profession of our country’s history. In fact from the beginning sweets are ingrained in our culture, history and the karigars just evolved with time being more inventive reflecting the essence of time and society at large.
The Sugar-free sweets are a perfect example of today’s health conscious society. Another great example is the Bengal sweet LEDIKENI derived from the name of Governor Charles Canning’s wife during the British Raj. The point is sweets are inseparable from us, but traditional sweets are dying down.
Hence it is our endeavour to offer people a bite of their famous tradition and history.
